COFFEE FROM THE HEART
To brew the perfect cup of Joe, we go back to basics and do it right. It means getting the perfect blend of beans, grind, good equipment and skilled baristas. The acid test is staying doggedly true to quality at every little step, from bean to cup.
OUR BREWING PRINCIPLES
As passionate coffee lovers, we believe that life is too short for bad coffee. From sourcing the best Arabica coffee beans, to roasting our beans locally in small batches, and the training of our baristas, we ensure that every step of the coffee process results in a perfect cuppa Joe.
OUR HOUSE BLEND - JOE 1914
The name of our house blend is inspired by Josephus Daniels (1862-1948), Secretary of the U.S. Navy during World War I. In 1914, he imposed a general ban of alcohol on board all U.S. Navy ships. The loss of booze led to an increased consumption of coffee by the naval men, who christened their "mugs of Joe" as a sorrowful homage to the man.
We take pride in our coffee standards and ensure that all our baristas are well trained. From the grinding of beans to the steaming of milk, every step is done with love, care and precision by our expert baristas so that you always get to enjoy a good cuppa Joe.
